The protagonist of the story, Haoran, is a sales agent of a real estate developer in Hong Kong. He grew up with a middle- and lower-class family and lived in a small public house with his family and his wife. And his job is to take different guests to visit and introduce new properties, and different guests also present a miniature of the current Hong Kong citizens. Among them is the colleague who borrowed the keys of the property, Mr. Chen from the mainland, the couple who saw the property for the first time, the male protagonist. Haoran was also troubled by housing problems.
